Sound hardware
To work with sound, your workstation must be fitted with hardware to playback sound. This hardware is optional, and not always fitted:
- Some computers have full sound facilities included by the manufacturer.
- Some computers have appropriate hardware added. This usually consists of a sound card installed in the processor box, to which external speakers are connected.
- Some computers have no sound facilities, or can only make a simple 'beep' sound. You cannot use such computers to record and playback sound files.
Before attempting to use Animo 2.0's sound facilities, please check whether your workstation has appropriate sound facilities. If you are in any doubt, consult your system administrator.
